Actress and Covergirl Drew Barrymore is no virgin to ink. She's spent her career both modeling and acting, claiming her true rise to fame with the movie ET, the Extra Terrestrial. Since then she's starred in numerable films such as Donnie Darko, Charlies' Angels and Never Been Kissed. More recently she's aspired to delve in to humanitarian efforts, donating over a million dollars to the World Food Program of the United Nations.
She's also known for being spiritually open and a lover of art, including tattoos. Though her tattoo catalog isn't as extensive as Angelina Jolie's, she has enough tattoos to grant her noteworthy mention in the realm of tattooed divas.
Barrymore has a total of six tattoos, located on her hip, lower back, abdomen, toe, and right leg. Her tattoos are all on the small and subdued side, none of them reach across her arm or cascade down her back like skin graffiti. They're also modestly colored in stark blacks and grays. It's clear that Drew has gone for a simplistic aesthetic.
The Designs

Butterfly Tattoo
The tattoo on Barrymore's abdomen is located about an inch below her belly button and looks just short of two inches in diameter.
The coloring of the wings and body segment is a light ash gray, while the very perimeter of the wings has black details that act as a border.

Cluster Of Flowers Tattoo
Located diagonally below the butterfly on her right hip is a small cluster of flowers. The flowers have dark coloration, and are one of the few examples of color among her tattoo collection.
Two large flowers seem to emerge form a bramble of vines, grass and perhaps some other smaller flowers. One resembles a yellow sunflower, and the other a red orchid.
Angels Tattoo
On her lower back are two tattoos. More to the right of her back is a large cross being carried by three cherub angels. This tattoo includes her mother's name "Jaid".
In the center of her lower back is another tattoo of an angel with the name of a past boyfriend underneath. Both tattoos are done in black ink.
Crescent Moon tattoo
The tattoo on Drew's right toe is of a crescent moon, and it is the tiniest of all her tattoos.
Ankle Tattoo
Inversely, on her lower right leg, just above her ankle, is the biggest of her tattoos. It's a cross which is largely inked with black. Covering the cross are vines ending with blooms of darkened flowers which appear to be roses.
A few of them are colored with a small amount of red. Of all her tattoos, this one appears to be the most stylized and aesthetically unique.
Bird Tattoo
Drew's newest ink is this simple bird tattoo on her right inner arm.
Fake Tattoo
Though there are no other known tattoos on the former Charlie's Angel, Ms. Barrymore was photographed with the word "breathe" inked in capital block letters with a sharpie on her forearm.
This fake tattoo was meant to be a reminder to relax and meditate after a long period of stress and work.
There have been rumors that she planned on possibly making the tattoo permanent, but as of yet no such body art had manifested.
Drew Barrymore's mind and body are still an open canvas, future tattoos may be just a needle's breath away.
