There are 14 different languages spoken in China , but the official language is Mandarin (simplified Chinese). It is the biggest language in the world, more than 850 million people speak Mandarin.
Some quick facts:
- Chinese is written from the left to the right .
- Chinese uses the Hanzi script. There have been about 56.000 symbols identified, but the general well-educated Chinese knows about 7000.
- One word usually exists of 2 characters .
- You can use Chinses symbols horizontal as well as vertical .
